Cyberbullying: streamer Maghla wins court case

Share

Cyberbullying is a real scourge on social media. This is what young videographer and streamer Maghla discovered when she became a victim of cyberbullying on Twitch. For several months, a 27-year-old man cyberbullied her by sending her numerous violent messages, threatening to kill her, rape her, or even kill her dog.

After an initial complaint was dismissed, Maghla finally succeeded in having her attacker convicted, thanks in particular to the presentation of hundreds of screenshots of what she had endured. Her attacker was convicted of “psychological harassment via an online communication service” and sentenced to one year in prison, including six months without parole.
